Comments
When visitors leave comments on our site, we collect the data provided in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.
An anonymized string (hash) created from your email address may be sent to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. After comment approval, your profile picture is publicly visible within your comment.
Media
If you upload images to CareGiving360, avoid embedding location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download and extract location data from images on the website.
Cookies
When you leave a comment, you may opt-in to saving your name, email, and website in cookies for convenience. These cookies last for one year.
A temporary cookie is set when visiting the login page to check browser cookie support. It contains no personal data and is discarded upon closing the browser.
Login cookies last two days, and screen preference cookies last one year. Selecting “Remember Me” extends login persistence to two weeks. Logging out removes login cookies.
Editing or publishing an article saves an additional cookie, storing the post ID of the edited article, which expires in one day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on CareGiving360 may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles). Embedded content behaves as if the visitor accessed the external website directly. These external sites may collect data, use cookies, and track interactions, especially if you are logged in to those websites.
Who we share your data with
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email for security purposes.
How long we retain your data
Comments and metadata are stored indefinitely to facilitate follow-ups without moderation delays.
Registered users can view, edit, or delete their personal information, except for usernames. Website administrators also have access to manage user profiles.
Your data rights
If you have an account or have left comments, you can request an exported file of your stored personal data. You can also request data deletion, except for information retained for legal, administrative, or security purposes.
